Our son Maxton was diagnosed with left-sided congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) at his 19 week ultrasound. Maxton was born on 3/3/09 at Vanderbilt University. He fought hard for 18 days but earned his wings on 3/21/09. Maxton was an inspiration to many during his brief time on earth and has forever changed our lives. If your child is diagnosed with CDH, please feel free to contact us. Maxton may no longer live here on earth, but he will live forever in our hearts...

Update

Just wanted to post an update. David and I are now living in Kentucky- with my parents. Please pray for us. :-) No, really, it is going fairly well. David is starting to get a bit stressed out because he has yet to find a job. Please pray that he finds something soon. I am currently teaching kindergarten as a resource teacher. Basically means I pull kids who are having trouble and work with them in small groups. Going good so far!

In other news, I went to my obgyn back in July due to not having a cycle since Max has been born. She gave me some progesterone which started the cycle and did some blood work. She is thinking I may have poly cystic ovary syndrome. This is not good news when it comes to try to conceive. I will likely see a specialist in October about this (as I won't have health insurance until then!) Please pray that maybe this month I will have a cycle! I never had problems before Maxton and was always regular, so I am hoping the horomone that way too high (DHEA-S) is coming down and that my ovulation will return to normal. Sorry if that was TMI. :-)

Also- please pray for Ireland as she is making her entrance today!!!!

I have also gotten Maxton's gravestone! It is beautiful! It has a big butterfly at the bottom and the four smaller butterflies. The big butterfly represents my Maxton and the smaller ones represent his angel friends. I will post pictures as soon as I can! I cried when I saw it. I miss my sweet baby soooo much.

Hey Ash,
I wanted to let you know that I have PCOS and I've managed to conceive twice now, so don't worry about that! All it usually takes is the right drug and it happens in a few months. Just wanted to give you words of encouragement!!

Glad Maxton's stone is up. I was emotional when I saw Sylvi's too. I too need to post pictures. Keep the faith, girl. Maybe God is just waiting for you to be insured to give you your blessing :) I'm sure Max is being very choosy as to which soul is sent to you. I think of you so often. I hope the best for you. Good luck to your husband on the job front too!
Love,
Beth

I am glad that you got Maxton's stone. For me, it was the final chapter. i had planned on getting her here, then planned on her care, planned her funeral, and then order her grave stone. once the stone was down, I felt like there was nothing else I could do for her. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with ovulation. I have been having a very irresgular cycle since I had Addison. I have an appointment in September to see the doctor. Good luck on your baby making front! I think of you often!

I am glad you got Maxton's stone.

Kindergarten! How fun! :) Do you enjoy K or would rather be in a higher grade level?

Well just think, you guys are one step ahead of us- we both still don't have jobs where we want to. :) We have jobs, just not the right ones in the right area!

And here's praying for mother nature to show up at your door! :) (never thought I'd say that in my life) haha

I can not wait to see his stone, it sounds beautiful!!! Sorry to hear you may have PCOS....I battle infertility and I know it is not fun first hand, but the Dr's are amazing and can make it happen if you can not on your own ;)!!

Think of you ALL the time.

One of Booty's cousins has PCOS and was told that she couldn't conceive...she is currently pregnant! So here's hoping that you have the same luck!

Glad the job is going well and I hope David finds something soon!
