Our son Maxton was diagnosed with left-sided congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) at his 19 week ultrasound. Maxton was born on 3/3/09 at Vanderbilt University. He fought hard for 18 days but earned his wings on 3/21/09. Maxton was an inspiration to many during his brief time on earth and has forever changed our lives. If your child is diagnosed with CDH, please feel free to contact us. Maxton may no longer live here on earth, but he will live forever in our hearts...

Just an update..

I just wanted to update you all- I have been trying to get pregnant for several months... since probably May. I have also not had a cycle since Maxton was born, so I have taken COUNTLESS pregnancy tests.. all negative. I had a dream/feeling... something.. in June that told me I would get pregnant in September... well, I thought I would get pregnant in September. I was wrong... I did, however, FINALLY start my cycle again!!! :-) Sept. 30th, no less. Thanks God.

Just wanted to update you all since I know many of you know we are "trying" and now hopefully, my cycle will regulate ( I had NEVER missed except one month before I was pregnant) and we can really start trying..

Stay tuned!

Also- happy 7 month birthday to my beautiful son and to his best friend in heaven Kaden- happy 6 month birthday! I know our sons are best friends Kristi! I won't be able to post... nor do I really want to... tomorrow because I am moving out of my parents house and in to our new house- which is conveniently in their back yard! ha! :-)

I know how hard ttc again is. I'm sorry September wasn't your month. I hope next month is, though. Happy 7 month Birthday to sweet baby Maxton!

I just love you so much! I KNOW that Kaden and Max are best friends. And I know that they are up there picking the perfect sibling to send their Mommies & Daddies to help ease some of the pain of losing them. We will both keep our fingers crossed for next month!!

Good luck, Ashley! I am very hopeful you'll be pregnant before I have this baby in late February! Maybe Maxton is a laid back personality up there in heaven--just taking his good old sweet time finding himself the perfect earthly sibling. They say there is no time in heaven and the angels there have no concept of it. Man do we on Earth have the concept of time down though--way too much so :)
Love ya, girl!

Today I pray for your peace and comfort. I picture Maxton playing with Jesus and all the Angels. He is singing, laughing, dancing, and enjoying his angel wings and halo.
He will NEVER be forgotten.
I am thankful that I found your blog.
God Bless all the CDH babies/families.
